Winter jewel tones

I like wearing jewel tones in the winter, but have not incorporated them much this season. After seeing some inspiration from Stylin in St. Louise  and hi sugarplum, I decided to it was time to bring them back into my winter attire.

I paired my jewel tone emerald green velvet blazer with a hot pink sweater and navy pants. I went with nude pumps because there is already a lot of color going on. I also wore my crystal statement necklace. It was a Christmas present from the hubby that I requested as a replacement for my old crystal statement necklace that was tarnishing and turning different colors. A crystal statement necklace is a great piece to have in your wardrobe to add a little bling and sparkle to most any outfit. A crystal statement necklace will pair with plaid as well as pearls will.

I'm claiming this weekend as a productive one as I got my hall closet cleaned out and reorganized. It mostly holds our gift wrap and shipping boxes/materials and had gotten way out of hand. It's back in order now. I ordered this over door organizer to help me get some order to the gift wrap. It's not specifically designed for gift wrap, but we made it work by adding a piece of cord across the top of the rolls. Once I thin out the wrapping paper collection, I can add more of the baskets that came with it and it will still be useful to me.

Other recent purchases include this dress from JCPenney in rumba red. More info is forthcoming in a post next week, but I'll say this is a good one. Go ahead and get it while it's on sale. I could wear it all day.  I also received my Kohl's order last week which included this hoodie and cross over tunic. Some of the reviews say the hoodie is too thin, but I got the navy and it's not too thin for me. It is soft and not the highest quality but well worth the current price of $11.89 for lounging around on the weekends. The cross hem tunic cost a little more, but I will get my money's worth out of it too.

Hope you have a great week!
